Summary

In our current system, users are unable to use the quick search or advanced search (without any filters) to search for pages that include text within third-party diagrams such as draw.io or gliffy. The only way they can do this is by using the Advanced Search with a filter like Type=Draw.io Diagrams.

However, the results that come out of this are solely diagrams, making it difficult for users to identify the page on which the text exists. This issue is creating an inconvenient user experience, as customers are unable to find the information they need efficiently.

Suggested Solution

To resolve this issue, we propose implementing an enhancement in the search functionality that will allow customers to search for text within third-party diagrams through quick search and advanced search without any filters. Moreover, the search results should not only show the diagrams but also indicate the specific page where the text is found.
