At the moment, it is not possible to manage access into Trello from a third party identity service provider via Atlassian Guard.

Suggestion : Implement user and group provisioning via Atlassian Guard with Trello

      -------

Update as of April 24, 2023. Trello Enterprise user management and SCIM group provisioning is released to first customers. We will be gradually making this a default admin experience for all customers throughout 2023. Learn more here.

      • Trello Enterprise is represented in admin.atlassian.com, alongside other Atlassian products
      • Like with other Atlassian products, Org Admins are able to grant or revoke access to Trello Enterprise to users: manually, or using groups, or with SCIM IdP sync
      • Trello admin dashboard is still used, as a supportive tool, for more granular administration (Trello-specific security policies, managing Trello workspaces and shadow IT)

[ACCESS-814] Implement user and group provisioning with Trello

vdronov, this is excellent. I have a question. We would like to prevent Trello free users from automatically being tied to Jira access SSO costs. As a business, we don't actually use Trello, people just sign up for it and we end up footing the bill for their SSO since they used their corp email. Does the creation of a Trello free account still have this issue?  If I take the time to setup the Trello enterprise settings you have outlined, can I block people from using their corp email, even for Trello free accounts, without first coming through our IT license provisioning process?

Hi, are there any plans to add group-based user provisioning from IdP in Trello Premium?

We are implementing user and group provisioning in admin.atlassian.com for Trello Enterprise: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud??status=comingSoon;future&p=0d1f2313-42

Yes please! Managing my Trello users twice, both in Trello panel and Access is really not efficient.

Would love to see this feature get implemented soon. My company has over 1600 licenses to manage and the power of SCIM provisioning / de-provisioning would be amazing. Similarly, being able to add users to Trello Workspaces via Okta push groups would be the cherry on top. Keeping my eye on this and ready to implement as soon as this goes live. Looking forward to it!

Please add this feature! Having to manage Trello users differently isn't awesome.

We were looking forward to the Atlassian unified identity/security management when we migrated to Atlassian Access from stand-alone Trello. So, we were disappointed when we migrated and found out that the Trello integration stopped at SSO integration and doesn't include the auto-provisioning that is provided for Jira.

Anyway, we would love to see this functionality added! In fact, we are talking about making auto-provisioning from Azure AD a requirement for any/all SSO integrated software moving forward.

I wanted to add my voice to this. It is important that access within Atlassian is unified as an admin of these tools.

We have migrated our Trello users to Atlassian Cloud, but I was surprised to find out that it doesn't mean that I can manage their product access from the Atlassian admin portal. This is critical as we are paying for our "free" users to be part of Atlassian Cloud yet it comes with non of the admin features.

Agree with previous comment.  Absolutely crucial that Trello is handled as a managed product along with Jira and Confluence within Access.  Since we have to pay for users that are in Access, we need a way to be able to prevent them from signing themselves up, so that their access/approval occurs before they have an account (from our existing identity provider), not afterwards.

Definitely interested in seeing this happen. As currently, the only control (as an Org admin) I have over users with Trello attached to their Atlassian account is to be able to disable or delete their entire Atlassian account. Ideally I would have the ability to manage their trello access the same way I do their Jira and Confluence.
i.e. the option to "Manage product access".

This is crucial for us as an New Zealand government department we need to have all apps/services Certified and accredited for use. We are in the process of achieving this for Jira and Confluence, but Trello is not in scope, and therefor we have been actively helping people move any business related boards into Jira. But need the ability to manage product access to Trello for our current Atlassian account holders.
