At this moment, user and group provisioning can take a long time to complete when there is a huge amount of data to be transferred from the Identity Provider to Atlassian.

Some adjustments were implemented to improve the performance and mitigate the bug mentioned above. However, the delay is still noticeable, especially for large companies that have more than 10k groups to be synced.
After the sync is completed, we also have a delay propagating the group assignments from the provisioning records to the Organization directory. Without a better way to monitor the syncing and propagation, we end up relying on the information available in the Audit Logs.
Suggestion
Please provide a dashboard with the following details about user/group sync and propagation from the IdP directory to the Org directory:
- Total count of provisioning records that were transferred.
- Indicate how many were processed already.
- How many are still waiting to be processed?
- How many were already synced to the Organization?
Workaround
If you notice a long delay for the sync to complete, please get in touch with support so they can check the sync and propagation statistics from the backend logs.
