As a Trello user with a board with many open and archived cards and, a large number of checklists, I want to receive an alert when limits are getting high impacting board performance.

    Description

      User Problem

The board’s limits to keep a good performance are not very clear to users. For that reason, boards can overloaded with data (especially the total number of cards and high volume of checklists), making board management a little complicated. For example, exporting boards on CSV or JSON, can’t happen if the customer has over 5,000+ checklists or 20,000+ cards. When that happens, they get to spend a significant time trying to reduce their board data.

      Suggested Solutions

An alert (or notification) would be triggered on the board when checklists and cards start reaching a reasonable size would start impacting the board performance or prevent users from taking some actions as exporting. The alert would help users to maintain the board in good shape before starts reaching a critical size.

      Current Workarounds

The current workaround is to split the board in two or more, deleting checklists manually (or using a card button, but having to click card by card), and deleting cards. Article as ref: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/troubleshooting-a-slow-board/
