Changes to Greenhopper Ranking Field are not captured in JIRA History

If I change a GreenHopper Ranking field by:

1) Open an Issue
2) Click at Edit
3) Change Ranking field (configure this field to show in "Field Configurations" page)
Result: The change is captured in the Activity/History Section.

However, if:
1) Open an Issue
2) Click on Pencil icon (GH UI) to change Ranking field, then this change is not captured in the History/Activity change logs. (Also, changes aren't logged when I click and drag items inside Greenhopper planning board.)
