      Problem Definition

      There exists no current functionality to allow for renaming statuses through the JIRA Agile simplified workflow. If any edits or changes are made to the underlying workflow through JIRA (rather than JIRA Agile) it breaks the simplification functionality that Agile provides. There is a bug raised for this under GHS-8740.

      Suggested Solution

      Provide functionality within Agile to allow for changing status names in the Configure Columns section (where the add status functionality current lives).

      Workaround

      There is no current known workaround that will enable Agile to continue the simplified workflow after it has been modified.
