Description
As a Jira Admin
I want the ability to disable private filters, boards, and dashboards
So it is not difficult/impossible to remove these when a person no longer has Jira access and thus can keep our instance clean and maintainable
Acceptance criteria
- At a site admin level, private filters, boards, and dashboards can be disabled
- Bonus: any private filters, boards, and dashboards with no shares are automatically deleted 60 days after a user is deactivated. Any of these with shares are summarized in a communication to the site admins for action, such as changing the owner.
Business case
Currently when a user account is deactivated there is no way to remove some private content. This leads to clutter in the site instance, slowing down maintenance for future actions. Attempts to request assistance on this from the Atlassian Support team yield unhelpful results. I was told basically, "don't worry about it...it's in the cloud and you have lots of storage". Umm...as unused content is counted against storage allocation and costs, it seems self-service for the support team to say "don't worry".
