JIRA Service Desk keeps refreshing when username contains special characters

      Steps to Reproduce:
      Create a username that starts with a special character (space).
      Login, and click on Service Desk.

            This bug is still present and blocks the usage of searching the knowledge base in JIRA Service Desk 3.0.10 Server completely!

            1. Invite a user into a service desk using his/her email address
            2. This way the user can NOT choose their username and is forced to use his EMAIL (contains @ as a special character!? =)
            3. User logs into service desk and starts searching the knowledge base
            4. User locates an article and clicks it
            5. A modal dialog appears showing either the user should log into confluence (why?) (only seems to happen in google chrome!?)
            6. After logging into confluence he/she is presented with the content in the modal dialog but the dialog closed by itself due to a site refresh

            This makes the KB feature for the service desk completely useless for us.

            PS: renaming the user profile (like the suggested workaround) does not work and seems to have no effect.

            The fix in JIRA https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-41578 also resolves this bug.
            I'll close it for now. Please let me know if any further issue.

            Verified in JSD 2.5.1-OD-03 and JIRA 6.5.OD-05.
