Description
Hi team,
Our teams are requesting that the 'Project' field that gets auto-filled while creating an issue be standard - i.e making the same project show up whenever an issue is created - perhaps a 'default project' that can be set on the user profile level.
At the moment, JIRA fills in the project field (when attempting to create an issue) based on the project the last viewed issue belongs to. So, if the user looks at an issue (e.g ABC-123) belonging to project (ABC) he does not work on, then goes on to create an issue, the project field in the issue create screen automatically gets filled in as the project name of project ABC.
NOTE: We are seeing this behavior in Jira 6.4.14. If the behavior is different (I.e if the default project is configurable in Jira 7.3), please could you let us know and close this request. If the behavior in 7.3 is the same as what we are seeing in 6.4.14, please consider this as an RFC.
