      Atlassian Update – 3rd September 2019

      Hi everyone,

Starting from Jira 8.4.1 and 8.5.0, users with "Browse users" global permission will be able to mention others (or, to be precise, the mention pop-up will be shown, as manually inputting the mention syntax already worked).

Please note that for the pop-up to appear and for the mentions to be rendered properly, the "Log Work" field needs to have a "Wiki Style" renderer. Please refer to this KB for a guide on how to set it.

      Thank you,
      Daniel Rauf

      Problem Definition

Currently, it's not possible to mention users in Wok Log tab from issues. By typing @ + Username we only got this [~username] and the mention is not added.

      Suggestion

Add the ability to use the @ to mention users on work log.
