    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Referencing our documentation:
      https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/Cloud/Emailing+an+Issue#EmailinganIssue-sharing

JIRA allows users to be linked to an issue even if users don't have adequate project permissions (browse projects) to access the issue.

The notification is sent but can create confusing in that it says that an issue has been shared with them, but when they click the link, it says they don't have permissions to the issue.

The suggestion is that the process gets renamed to just say Notify Users or similar and reword the e-mail to the users so it is less confusing.

Additionally, it would be nice if the share dialog box tool would honor the carriage returns in the note. When sending a note like this:
      Line 1
      Line 2
      Line 3
...when it gets sent to the recipient(s), it appears actually will appear like this:
      Line 1 Line 2 Line 3

Which makes it difficult to read lists of data like usernames/passwords, especially when they are multiple recipients.
