Cannot delete user

      I have an username need to delete, however this user name is used before and with some tasks assigned to him. The assigned task was at "closed" status so i can't change assignee. Therefore when i try to delete this user, i got an error message saying:

      JIRA
      Cannot delete user 'stevenliu' because 1 issues are currently assigned to this person.
      Cannot delete user 'stevenliu' because they have made 5 comments.

      Please advise how can i delete this user name and use the seat for other login. Thanks.
