Today, if a project consists of issue types that should no longer be used, they have to be archived to a different project or you have to use the field configuration option to disable a an issue type - but, now you have to remember for future projects, what types of specific configurations vs being global.

It would be very helpful to be able to disable an issue type in an issue scheme so that it cannot be used again, but you can retain the information in the project that is created.
