    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Sometimes people either forget to put a proper issue reference in their commit messages, or make a typo that makes a link incorrect (e.g. to an unrelated issue).

There should be a way to link a revision like that to an appropriate ticket in JIRA after the fact it was done, avoiding full reindex of repository, as it will take a long time, and is a much more frequent occurrence.

In addition, there should be a way to remove a certain revision from the "Source" tab, in case issue was mentioned by mistake.
