Description
Tested on JIRA 4.1 rc-1 on an issue with enough comments for scrolling.
Steps to replicate in Firefox 3.6:
- Either click on a comments permalink, right-click and 'open in a new tab' or copy/paste its URL in a new tab. The browser redirects to comment header which is properly visible under the stalker bar
- Then hit enter on the permalink URL in the address bar in either of the above cases. The comment header is behind the stalker bar
Refreshing the page then displays it correctly
Seems to be due to the anchor ID and stalker bar height not being re-evaluated.
Internet Explorer 8 has mixed results:
- Either click on a comments permalink, right-click and 'open in a new tab' or copy/paste its URL in a new tab. The comment is highlighted but the browser doesn't redirect to it, instead to either the top of or somewhere else on the page
Then do either one of the following:- Clicking on the same permalink a second time in either of the above cases redirects to the comment header and displays it correctly
OR - Hit enter in URL (doesn't fix it), but then refreshing does. The cycle between 'Enter' and 'Refresh' continuously 'messes it-fixes it up'.
Sometimes the opposite is true. Refresh the browser (doesn't fix it), but then hitting enter does. In this case:- When Left-clicking a permalink, refreshing always works on first go
- When right-clicking or copy/pasting the URL in the address bar, refreshing sometimes works on first go
- Clicking on the same permalink a second time in either of the above cases redirects to the comment header and displays it correctly
