.jira-home.lock not removed when restarting Windows in a virtualised environment

    Description

      The .jira-home.lock should be removed from the home directory when restarting Windows, and therefore stopping the service. However, there are several reports that indicate that, under certain circumstances, that is not the case is the OS is running in a virtualised environment, like VmWare ESX.
