    Description

We still get a number of support customers who go and use the EAR/WAR version, even with Tomcat, because they think that they can only use JIRA Standalone with the bundled HSQL database. So...

In the "Which 'Distribution Should You Choose?" section of http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/latest/requirements.html, can we please make it more obvious that you can use JIRA Standalone with any supported database.

I realize that we do state this down at the bottom of the page - "Before deploying to a production environment, we strongly recommend that you connect JIRA Standalone to an enterprise database (see the list of supported databases)." - but I suspect that this is too late. The customer has made their decision by then based on the "Which 'Distribution Should You Choose?" section at the top of the page.

Anyway, that's my opinion on why the problem is occurring. I'd also welcome any other suggestions about how to improve the documentation to stop this happening.
