Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
I want to search for issues that are assigned to any individuals in a particular group. JIRA apparently distinguishes between a group name entered as MGR: Smith vs. Mgr: Smith, or mgr: smith. Is it necessary to make this field case sensitive? It creates a hardship, as various managers will be entering their own group name as search criteria, and I'm bound to get all kinds of calls if they do not use the precise case. (I am aware that the group picker would eliminate this problem, but I prefer not to open up the list of groups to all managers).
