Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Our workplace uses Jira with comments sorted in descending order by default.
I often reference and check back to the more recently made comments when commenting on an issue. When comments are sorted in descending order the new comment textarea is displayed at the bottom of the page, furthest from the most recent comments. This causes lots of scrolling back and forth between the recent comments and the textarea where I am filling in my comment (which is exacerbated for issues that have a large number of comments).
At the moment I have written a custom Greasemonkey script which moves the location of the new comment textarea to appear above the comment list in order to reduce me needing to scroll back and forth.
It would be fantastic if this change could be incorporated into Jira when comments are sorted in descending order.
