Description
A customer has requested the ability to specify the reporter when logging a Support Request through JIRA's built in problem reporting system. This could be achieved by having a field for identifying a previously created SAC reporter on the JiraSupportRequest page (e.g. username or email address).
At the moment we appear to use JIRA's From address as specified in the default mail server which, as in the case below, isn't always a good thing:
The really brilliant "Support Request" feature
http://jira/secure/admin/jira/JiraSupportRequest!default.jspa
Doesn't allow you to specify a specific support account, instead an account name is created based on a fake email address:
Username: jira@teligent.se
Email: jira@teligent.se
Full Name: jira@teligent.se
Password: 4u128bThis account generates a notification which is sent to this nonexisting email address, which luckily ended up with IT or would otherwise have been lost.
I see now that Jira has been configured with jira@teligent.se as the From address, normally that would be noreply@teligent.se which wouldn't help...
Instead we would like these support requests to be registered on "this" user, called "teligent" since we already haev this account and everyone knows about it...
