Description
If JIRA is set up to use SQL Server, then multi-byte characters (eg. Russian) are not stored correctly in some fields.
This is because JIRA uses the SQL Server TEXT data type for issue description, environment, issue comments, unlimited text custom fields and workflows. Instead, we should be using NTEXT for these, to allow Unicode characters to be stored.
