Ability to filter email attachments sent to jira for issue creation and comment

We would like the ability to filter attachments directly in Jira. Many users have vcards which are attached to issues when they reply to them via the email alerts. We can tell our users to delete them before sending but often they fill forget. I'm sure a email handler could be written to do this as an extension to jira but out of the box attachment control would be nice.
