A customer has requested the ability to mark versions as 'Major' or 'Minor' for use in JIRA's reporting capabilities.

Currently the 'Created vs Resolved Issues Report' allows the user to mark versions on the report, proving an option to denote all versions or just 'Major' versions. This only works with numbered versions x.x using an auto-detect feature though and will not translate to milestones that use naming conventions. The addition of a release being marked as major/minor would allow this to be possible in reports.
