Description
NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding bug report.
Summary
When clicking the link Run search without smart query, the results of the query changes, but the JQL in the Advanced search box doesn't change.
Environment
- Affects both Cloud and Server
Steps to Reproduce
- Enter "my foo*"(without quotes) in the Search box at the top of the page, and switch to Advanced search where you can see the JQL. See img1
- Click the pop-up link to Run search without smart query. Notice that the results change, but the JQL stays the same. See img2
Expected Results
After clicking the Run search without smart query link, the JQL query should change to text ~ "my foo*"
Actual Results
After clicking the Run search without smart query link, the JQL query in the search box stays as assignee=currentUser() AND text ~ "foo*"
But the URL in the browser will update to display the appropriate search i.e.:
https://<BASE_URL>.atlassian.net/browse/ABC-123/?jql=text~"my%20foo"
Workaround
Refresh the page and the actual JQL search being used will be displayed in the search box
