    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      1. Search for a user with his email as username
      2. Click "delete user"
      3. If the users has reported issues before a link to the JQL query is displayed. Click the link

=> in the JQL query the username (email) is not enclosed between quotes which means the query does not work

It would be an improvement to enclose usernames with special characters like @ between quotes or escape them by default for JQL's generated by jira
