I had to deal with the pop up reminder persistently showing up for an entire month warning me about changes to a plugin – EVERYTIME I opened a new jira task- I can have more than a dozen windows open requiring me to dismiss the pop up each and every time (it gets in the way). Now I have this pop up reminder for HipChat which I don't even use annoying the living shit out of me!

Update to take full advantage of the latest features.
Update Now!"

Seriously, you cannot continue to abuse this overlay. I understand how it's a useful tool for communicating critical updates...ONCE or a few times, but NOT marketing and NOT forcing it down our throats every single time - this is literally driving me NUTS.
