    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

When creating a sub-task, the change is not reflected in the parent issue's "updated date" nor is displayed in the parent issue's activity tab. This can pose a problem to auditing teams who need to report on the issue changes.

      Suggested Solution

JIRA should either update the parent issue's modified date when the sub-task is created or add an activity to the activity tab to show that a sub-task has been added/removed.
