Importing larger database can take a long time, especially given that Jira completely rebuilds the search index during the import. This causes browser timeout when loading the page and hence the administrator importing the DB doesn't know if there was a problem without checking the logs or strangely trying to access the site as a regular user and getting an error report of how many percent of the import has been completed.

Confluence has a nice progress bar when reindexing the database, could the same page be implemented for Jira's DB import and reindexing?
