Project Avatar causing 500 error in JIRA

      When you navigate to any project > Administration > Edit Project > Select Avatar image > upload your own image and hit confirm. Before you save the change, reopen the avatar section and delete the avatar you just added without selecting a new one. Then save and update. You are no longer able to edit the project and you cannot click on 'view all projects'. Both will display a 500 error and get a nullPointerException stacktrace.

      I have reproduced this in Dev and Prod.
