      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      According to the discussion in JRA-40790, some special characters, such as "[" and "]", cannot be searched, because Lucene removes such characters before indexing them.

      However, some customers want to search issues by those characters.
