NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

Currently history searches do not support the 'sprint' field, which limits the ability to search for items relating to sprints, for example it is impossible to search for tickets that have been recently added to a sprint.

the sprint field only supports the operators = , !=
IS , IS NOT, IN , NOT IN
as per Advanced search reference - JQL fields.

This suggestion asks that the ability to use the WAS, WAS IN, WAS NOT, WAS NOT IN , CHANGED operators be added for the sprint field.

I've also reported https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-22974 to track the Agile API endpoint issue.

100% would be very useful to have this, as the `/rest/agile/1.0/board/{boardId}/sprint/{sprintId}/issue` endpoint doesn't include issues that were removed from a sprint before it was completed.

ScriptRunner has a built-in search function for the same: issueFunction in addedAfterSprintStart("", "")

Just managed to do the same when moving stories from one project to another - I'm not quite sure how to find them and fix them - only a few sprints to restore but 1000's of stories to search.

+1, also while having accidentally deleted a sprint, that request would help finding the previous mapped items
