All users who can log in JIRA can view other users’ profiles. It is okay that full names are viewed, however viewable user profiles enable user ID’s to be displayed, too, which causes a problem based on a company’s policy.

It would be a great help for users if this kind of new feature could be added so that users would be able to select user profiles either viewable or not-viewable.

We are sort of expecting that a regular text style would be displayed in the user name of issue detail screen, issue navigator, and gadget of dashboard instead of a link after the user profile was set not-viewable.
