Background re-indexing can cause excesive memory consumption leading to the instance becoming unresponsive.

      Under some instances a background re-index can flood the indexing queue with documents to be indexed and this can lead to excessive memory consumption, resulting in JIRA being unresponsive.

      Workaround:
      Full Reindex works fine and can be performed instead.
