      Per jwalton:

      Hi there.

      JIRA's source distribution should include everything necessary to build JIRA, including all the parts of Crowd that were rolled in. Looking at the jira-source-distribution project, it aims to contain crowd-ldap.

      If there's anything in there that's present in JIRA's binary but not included in the source distribution, please report that to JIRA; they should treat it like any maintenance bug.

      All the source to Crowd is available with any Crowd license, so there's a pretty low barrier to getting the Crowd source, but if you're looking at JIRA then that might complicate things rather than help.

      Please ensure that any other crowd components that are in the binary distribution are also available in the source distribution.
