I love the convenience of the Notification Drawer in Confluence. I can quickly see any updates before I get an email notification about them. I would love to have this feature available in Jira.
Since I am on the engineering team, I am in Jira about 90% of the time. I always have several tabs open with differnt agile boards and bug tickets. It would be awesome to have it available in the area that I frequent the most. It would also allow us to decrease the amount of email notifications that are sent out.

[JRACLOUD-32465] Add the Notification Inbox/Drawer to Jira.

Very convenient in Confluence.  Very frustrating to find this is closed for JIRA when all I want to do is working in the browser and always see my notifications in JIRA instead having to switch between email.

This should not be closed. Email notifications are WAY too noisy and this needs to be addressed. Plus when an issues is closed it doesn't get the visibility for potential votes that it deserves.

At the moment my workflow when I want to check on service desk stuff is to switch to confluence and check my notification inbox - pretty ridiculous

larryeisenstein - That's besides the point though. We use HipChat and I can think of several workarounds to this. However that is completely unrelated to wanting to be able to vote on the issue.

They won't be implementing this any time soon. Honestly, the best thing to do is start using Slack and use the Jira/Confluence integrations. Slack also has tons of other cool integrations for things like BitBucket/GitHub, Stripe, Intercom, Jenkins etc.

Please reopen so we can vote on this. This is a huge productivity hit. I will @ mention someone, and they will have replied, but because I'm working in JIRA I don't know that they have. Many of our clients would also prefer this style notification to email. cc/ mcook

This is exactly what I'm hoping is made available in JIRA. Or at least provide a logged-in User version of the Activity stream as a drop-down on the top bar. It would make it so much easier to stay updated with new events related to the user while working in JIRA.

I would also love this feature and this would help deliver a more consistent feature set across all applicable Atlassian products.

This is a great suggestion and should be implemented across all Atlassian products.

I would probably use HipChat (instead of Slack) if HipChat notifications were included in the Notification tray in Confluence and Jira.

            Hi Adam,

Great suggestion, thank you for raising it with us.

Unfortunately we will not be working in that area in the near future. I have tagged this issue so that we can consider it when we do come to it.

            Cheers,
