Often if we're developing an issue that involves the use of cookies, we'll disable cookie functionality in our browsers to test performance.

If we then try to use Jira, we see a blank page (if logged in) or the log-in page is presented, but no explanation is given for why authentication isn't working.

It would be nice if a message could be displayed prompting that cookies are disabled, reminding us to turn them back on.
