      Atlassian Update – 4 January 2016

      Hi everyone,

Thanks for voting and commenting on this issue. Your feedback is key to helping us understand how you use JIRA so we can continue improving your experience. We have reviewed this issue over the last few days.

We're investigating the feasibility of supporting this feature as part of a larger theme of work to improve setting up and maintaining projects. Unfortunately we can't definitively commit to if or when this feature will be released.

It's important to understand that we rarely try to implement individual features from jira.atlassian.com, but instead take a holistic look at the problem and use feedback from the comments here and a dozen other sources of customer input to solve the core problems.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or feedback.

      Regards,
      Dave Meyer

It would be useful to be able to specify the Time Tracking options per project.

We have projects with 7.5 hours per day and other projects with 8.0 hours per day depending on the customer.
This also includes the ability to turn on/off Time Tracking per project.

[JRACLOUD-2780] Time Tracking Setup Per Project

We operate in multiple countries with different rules, regulations, and norms regarding working hours.
I for instance work 7,5 hours a day mon-thur and 7 hours on Fridays.
The same is not necessarily the case for my colleagues in other countries.

The time tracking and time reporting functionalities in Jira are woefully lacking. It feels a lot like a proof of concept that made it into the final product.

My current team counts fewer than 8 hours per workday. Would appreciate being able to configure time tracking so there isn't additional on-the-spot calculations required when we're in meetings.

Jira Team - this issue has been consistently requested since 2019. It is needed for AGILE projects and your tool is supposed to be supportive of Agile.

How many more years will it take of valuable customer feedback, without any action on this issue by Jira?

Please urgently add it to your backlog and action it as soon as possible to keep Agile customers.
