      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently, priority is only displayed in text email notification if it is different than the default priority set in that instance of JIRA. HTML email notification does not do this, it will display priority in all circumstances.
