We've bene using Jira for a while in our IT department. Just recently we started using it for the entire organization. Especially the non-IT people can be overwhelmed with all the options being offered in Jira.

They like the fact the filter groups can be collapsed and expanded. This way they can hide the not-so-common filter items. They requested if it is possible for the admin to set the default collapsed and expanded groups.

Jira does seem to save which groups are expanded/collapsed by an individual user, but by default all groups are expanded by default. It would be nice if we could set this at the Administration > User Defaults
