      This org.bouncycastle:bcprov-jdk18on Dependency vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 7.5 and a CVSS Vector of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H allows an unauthenticated attacker to expose assets in your environment susceptible to exploitation which has no impact to confidentiality, no impact to integrity, high impact to availability, and requires no user interaction.

      Atlassian recommends that Crowd Data Center and Server customers upgrade to latest version, if you are unable to do so, upgrade your instance to one of the specified supported fixed versions:

      • Crowd Data Center and Server 5.2 and earlier: Upgrade to a release greater than or equal to 5.2.6
      • Crowd Data Center and Server 5.3: Upgrade to a release greater than or equal to 5.3.2
      • Crowd Data Center 6.0 and newer versions are not vulnerable

      The National Vulnerability Database provides the following description for this vulnerability: An issue was discovered in ECCurve.java and ECCurve.cs in Bouncy Castle Java (BC Java) before 1.78, BC Java LTS before 2.73.6, BC-FJA before 1.0.2.5, and BC C# .Net before 2.3.1. Importing an EC certificate with crafted F2m parameters can lead to excessive CPU consumption during the evaluation of the curve parameters.
