Group membership changes in AD don't immediately appear

When I add a group to another group, it doesn't immediately appear all the time. The group that I just added the group to still has no group members on the "View Group" page. If I go to the directory configuration page and flush the cache, the group membership then shows up correctly.

I do have LDAP caching configured (polling interval 300) on this directory, but since I'm making the change using Crowd, there's no reason the change can't immediately appear (and it's extremely confusing to my users not to have the change show up immediately).
