Exception is logged if a search query ends with a colon:

This is due to QueryParser being used.
The exception only appears in the server logs.

Two things to fix:

1. log this error at debug (or info).
2. strip trailing colons from search queries.

The search is not affected however, since we catch the exception and create our own query.
