User unable to access Confluence after changing Delegated User Directory

Problem

User get the following error if the current delegated user directory is disabled and a new one is added which allows to login.

Environment

• Confluence DC v7.19.17
• MS Active Directory server

Steps to Reproduce

1. Login as admin
2. Add delegated User Directory 1 using Atlassian AD checking Copy User on Login
3. Login as a user from User Directory 1 on a different browser
4. Add delegated User Directory 2 using Atlassian AD checking Copy User on Login
5. Disable delegated User Directory 1
6. Refresh the page for the user logged in at step 3

Expected Results

User get redirected to the login prompt

Actual Results

There is a redirection loop of 302 response which ends with the browser error:

This page isn't working confluence.lab redirected you too many times.
Try deleting your cookies.
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Workaround

• Clean the cookies in the user session.
• Restart the node after making the User Directory change.

Uploaded the HAR which shows the HTTP 302 loop.
