The browser hangs while trying to insert a link for the page title containing the ellipsis character.

Issue Summary

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

The browser hangs while trying to Insert Link for one of the existing pages in Confluence.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a fresh instance with Confluence 7.19.20
2. Create a page with the title This page was created to test the insert link scenario to see if the browser hangs…) (This title contains an ellipsis character.)
3. Create a test page to insert a link for the above page.
4. Highlight a text then use the shortcut CTRL+K or COMMAND+K to insert a link.
5. Search the page and then select it.

Expected Results

The page should be able selected without any issue and the user should be able to click the insert button.

Actual Results

The browser hangs and after a while gets a page not responding message.

Workaround

There are 2 workarounds for this problem;

1. Removing the ellipses (…) character from the page title. For the above example the page title can be changed to This page was created to test the insert link scenario to see if the browser hangs).
2. Shorten the page title character size to less than 60 to find the proper size for inserting the link. For the above example the page title can be changed to This page was created to test the insert link scenario…).
