    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

For some of our spaces we need to 1) allow users to view the pages 2) specify which users can edit specific pages and 3) specify which users can create new pages in the space. From my understanding the ability to edit pages is currently linked to the ability to create a page. This is problematic since it is not appropriate for all of our users to create pages in the space but we do want to be able to put specific users in charge of page content. The only workaround for this is to have other spaces with excerpts and/or links connecting the multiple spaces... but this just causes spaghetti and a very confusing organization of pages.

Please let me know what your solution is for us to grant edit permissions to users that do not have create page permissions.
