      Problem Definition

Enabling absolute date/time in JIRA does not display absolute date/time for issues in a JIRA issue macro. The JIRA issue macro seems to use the syntax of the Date Format field, rather than the Date Time Format field, in Formatting and International Settings.

This would be particularly useful when tracking sprints in Confluence. Attached are two screenshots showing the difference between the date/time display in JIRA and Confluence (in the JIRA issue macro).

      Suggested Solution

Add the ability to enable absolute date/time in Confluence.

      Workaround

Set the Date Format in Confluence Administration > General Configuration > Formatting and International Settings to include time (matching the Date Time Format):
      MMM dd, yyyy HH:mm

[CONFSERVER-41529] Absolute date/time not available in JIRA issue macro

As a workaround for this, you can set the Date Format to include time like with the Datetime Format, for example "MMM dd, yyyy HH:mm".
