It would be great to be able to add a list to a page in Confluence that is both a numbered list and a task list with checkboxes to mark items completed.
Use Case: We have a page that we copy and edit for each deployment, which currently contains several numbered lists. We also want to add checkboxes to the lists so we can mark things completed, but if we do this we lost the numbers. Numbers are really handy to refer to steps and we make enough edits that we need the list to automatically adjust numbering.

Just saw this and I really wanna vote for it. It is a very desirable feature
Consider using the ALT code in windows or Character viewer in Mac to put in a checkbox.
The reason this issue was resolved is that no one else voted on it over a period of a year.

OK, I and our several score users at ProQuest would really like this, too. I just want to be able to insert a flaming checkbox. I don't need it to be a full-bore "task list".

this really is a large gap in functionality. even markdown supports this. most other tools confluence users use, if not all, have this functionality.
