It is very unclear why both Blueprints and Templates are needed and it makes it confusing. These two things should be merged into one common way of handling templates.

I am an OnDemand admin and we are not able to administrate the Blueprints as we would like, i.e. it is not possible to create our own. We therefore always disable all the available blueprints. My suggestion is to either make it possible to create and fully manage Blueprints and then remove Templates, or just remove Blueprints. Then please focus on enhancing the template functionality (for example by making it possible to create proper forms) rather than developing parallel alternatives.
