Yesterday one of our developers was struggling to find information on configuring the display of macro parameters in the Editor placeholder.
The current documentation is "hidden" in the wrong place -
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Guide+to+User+Macro+Templates
Here's what I think we should do (other opinions are available! ![]()
- Create a short tutorial beneath https://developer.atlassian.com/display/CONFDEV/Macro+Tutorials+for+Confluence.
- Update the The 'Controlling Parameter Appearance in the Editor Placeholder' section from https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Guide+to+User+Macro+Templates to refer to the new DAC tutorial.
I've written a first draft of the tutorial here -
https://pug.jira.com/wiki/display/~pcurren/Customising+the+display+of+Macro+Parameters+in+the+Editor+Placeholder
I couldn't write it on DAC due to permission problems around attachments.
