    Description

Initial log in attempts do not accept username:/password combination. The message "Sorry, your username and password are incorrect. Please try again." is displayed.

When waiting for around 15 minutes and trying again, login is successful, and normal operations are possible. Seems to be some kind of session problem, but I can't work out why. The issue appears to affect new browser sessions only - once a login has been accepted, it will continue to work until the PC is rebooted, or access is attempted through a different browser or PC.

I am running my Confluence server on a standalone Linux (Fedora 12 x86/64) machine, using a shared Jira user database - My Jira app is running v4.1.1#522 on a separate Fedora 11 i386 machine, with the following Database:

      Database version 5.0.51a-log
      Database driver MySQL-AB JDBC Driver mysql-connector-java-5.1.10 ( Revision: ${svn.Revision} )

I am using Apache 2.2.13 for the front end, and forwarding traffic to both applications using ModJk.

I do not experience any difficulties at all logging into Jira.
